Given that urban living has seen properties becoming more compact, space management has become more important than ever. After installing one’s bed and wardrobe there might be no room left for a dresser. Thus, drawing inspiration from changing lifestyles that are longer bound by rigid conventionality, the idea was to create a hybrid door that could double as a dresser whilst still providing privacy and security.
Made from timber, the door would house hidden storage units. The dresser hidden door or door hidden dresser (DHD) is made from a combination of solid timbre, timber veneer ply, metal structural components and laminated finishing.
