INTRODUCTION
The TIMB3R Design Incubator Programme
Developed by the Malaysian Timber Council (MTC), the Malaysian Furniture Council (MFC), the Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID), and the Malaysian Wood Moulding and Joinery Council (MWMJC), this programme was specially designed to assist the timber and furniture industry to grow and upgrade along the design and brand value chain.
The Programme connects local designers/architects with timber and furniture manufacturers to design and develop Malaysian-made high-value products with aesthetic designs, ready for export to the international market.

Through this programme, it is hoped that the participating designers and manufacturers will gain worldwide exposure and recognition for their high-value design and manufacturing capabilities.
MECHANICS OF THE PROGRAMME
A collaboration between designers and manufacturers
Designers are paired up with manufacturers to conceptualise, design and develop a series of creative timber and furniture products.
The designers and manufacturers work together closely in research and development (R&D) activities to conceptualise and develop commercially viable designs, including the building of product.
The final products of these collaborations will be showcased at the relevant exhibitions.
