A SAFE SPACE FOR NURSING MOTHERS

TED POD – Drawing from the maternal instinct to provide care for one’s young, the Ted Pod is a breastfeeding pod designed with the needs of nursing mothers in mind. The modular design allows the Ted Pod to be easily incorporated and installed in a multitude of public settings, providing the privacy and security nursing mothers deserve.

The design combines CKBSL’s manufacturing expertise in wood panelling with accents of innovative materials such as perforated steel to achieve a form that fits seamlessly into any space. The interior of the pod houses a single private seat fitted with a side table suitable for dining or work, a power socket for essential charging needs, and a smaller side bench to accommodate an elder child whom may need to be accompanied as well.

While the Ted Pod is currently a single pod design, the concept can be further developed into a double pod system. The double pod can either allow two mothers to incubate simultaneously or be developed into a family pod that can shield an entire family.
